The administration of President Donald Trump has until 5 pm on Tuesday to restore the legal states of 133 international students, in accordance with an order that grants temporary restriction orders on behalf of the plaintiffs filed in a district court in the United States in Georgia on April 18.
The federal judge supervised the case, Victoria M. Calvert, issued a requested tro on behalf of the students, all of whom affirmed that their student states had been illegally revoked.
The lawsuit, presented by ACLU and other groups in the Northern District of Georgia, is among several that claim that the application of immigration and customs “abruptly and illegally” the records of the student and exchange visiting information system, a database used by the National Security Department to monitor non -immigrant students.

The demand said that at the end of these records, ICE is finishing the status of a student and makes them deportable.
“The act of DHS to illegally end Sevis records seems to be designed to force students, including each plaintiff, to abandon their studies and” self -support “despite not violating their status,” the lawsuit said.
Some of the students represented in the demand are about to graduate or are registered in work programs.
Many of the plaintiffs had been accused of traffic violations and, in some cases, minor crimes, but then their charges were withdrawn. Others, including “Jane Doe #12”, have never been arrested or cited by any traffic violation.
Government lawyers had argued that granting any relief would affect “control over immigration” of the executive branch.
But the judge was not convinced, and ordered the administration to notify the court when he has fulfilled. Calvert also ordered the government not to use the identities of the plaintiffs for any reason outside the lawsuit.
An audience is scheduled for Thursday.
