Rick Singer, the intellectual author behind the university admissions trap scandal throughout the country known as “Varsity Blues”, can return to their previous work provided that he warns the parents about their criminal past, a federal judge in Boston ruled on Monday.
Federal prosecutors were considered the singers who advise possible university students regarding their university applications after it fulfilled time in a federal prison to facilitate bribes among rich parents, test processors and elite universities.
Singer established a new university consulting service, ID Future Stars, which, according to its website, offers “personalized training, expert orientation and comprehensive support.” The main district judge Denise Casper said that now she must include the following two paragraphs:
“In March 2019, Rick Singer declared himself guilty of federal positions that include extortion conspiracy, money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to defraud the United States and an obstruction of justice for his role in what was widely publicized as the university evaluations of the ‘Varsity Blues’. (That is, the SAT and the law);

The mandatory statement of the Court continued:
“As part of the scheme, Mr. Singer Took in More than $ 25 million from His Clients, From Which He Made Payments to Co-Conspirators Totaling More than $ 7 Million, and Transferred, Spent, Or Oherwise Used More than $ 15 Million for His Own Benefit. On January 4, 2023, 2023, 2023 Court in Boston sentence Mr. Singer to 42 months in prison and three years of supervised relaase.
Singer is required to publish the statement prominently on the ID Futures Stars website and will also provide a copy written to parents, students or other entities that seek to retain it, Casper said.
As part of their guilt, Singer helped federal prosecutors in Boston with their extensive research on bribes paid to sports coaches, SAT and ACT supervisors, and others so that students of rich parents can deceive some of the best known schools in the country. Actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were among the more than three dozen accused parents.
Singer continued advising possible university students about their university requests while serving their sentence in a federal prison in Florida, and from a house halfway in California after their release.
