Sudden floods impact the transport of New York City when storms reach northeastern

More than 50 million Americans throughout the northeast are under flood watches on Monday, with sudden floods that cause significant delays in the transport of New York City.

Sudden flood warnings for cities have been issued, including New York City, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Newark, New Jersey and Arlington, Virginia, including Reagan National Airport, until Monday night.

The potentially mortal floods were possible in Western Union County, New Jersey, warned the National Meteorological Service.

Slow movement storms are expected to fall a lot of rain quickly. Rain rates of up to 3 to 4 inches per hour are possible.

Up to 5 inches of rain have already fallen in parts of the north and center of Jersey.
