Several officers fired at least 1 fatally, while serving in Pennsylvania: sources of application of the law

Several officers were shot, at least one fatally, while attending an order in York County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, officials responsible for enforcing the law reported on the confirmed investigation to ABC News.

“Send prayers to the officers already involved in the shooting in York County,” said Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania, Austin Davis In social networks. “As we learn more, follow the entire police guide and stay away from the area.”

Two people are being treated at the Wellspan York Hospital in relation to the incident, confirmed a hospital spokesman for ABC News. It is not clear how many people in total may have been injured or the seriousness of the injuries.

The governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, said he has been “informed about the situation involving the police in York County” and headed to the scene in the municipality of North Codorus.

The State Attorney General, Dave Sunday, said he is also on his way to the area in the midst of the “continuous situation.”

The ATF Harrisburg field office agents are helping on the scene.

The incident was informed to 911 shortly after 2 pm on Wednesday and responded multiple police units and emergency medical service, said York County Emergency Management official.

The State Police of Pennsylvania is investigating.

All schools in the school district of the Spring Grove are taking refuge in their place “due to an incident involved by officers in our area,” said the school district in a statement while stressing the situation does not involve any of its schools or students.

“Local authorities have advised us to have students and staff in our buildings as caution, while several roads in the area are closed,” said the district.
