The former New York governor, Andrew Cuomo, will remain on the New York City Mayor’s ballot in November in the independent vote for which he described, a source close to the campaign confirmed to ABC News.
Cuomo was classified in May to run in the vote of “Fight and Delivery” in the general elections through an independent nomination request presented to the Board of Elections of New York City, which at the time he said was destined to reach the voters disappointed with the Democratic Party. He would have allowed him to appear both in the Democratic Party and in “fighting and delivering” lines on the general electoral ballot if the Democratic primaries were won.
CNN First reported On Thursday night, which Cuomo, who admitted to the state assembly Zohran Mamdani in the Democratic primary for the mayor of New York City on Tuesday, would not retire from the independent voting line, but had not yet decided to campaign actively in the coming months.

In a speech for the followers on Tuesday night, Cuomo said to the supporters: “Tonight was not our night; this night was the night of Assemblyman Mamdani … he deserved it. He won. We are going to take a look and make some decisions.”
The candidates have until the end of Friday, June 27 to withdraw from running in an independent vote for which they qualified, According to the calendar of the Elections of the State of New York.
A source close to the campaign told ABC News on Thursday that the former governor is analyzing all the data, including that the New York City Election Board would only begin publishing voting tabs of election classified on July 1.
Cuomo told CBS 2 New York on Wednesday: “So I have that independent line. I qualified for that. And I am in that line in November. And we are going to see the numbers that come from primary school. And then we have to look at the landscape in the general elections, which is a totally different landscape.”
He added later: “We will take one step at a time because we have not even achieved the [full] Still numbers of the primary elections, and we have some time. “
Cuomo’s career for the mayor occurs four years after he resigned as governor after several women accused him of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior. He has denied the accusations and recently told the New York Times that he regrets having resigned.

Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa and independent candidate Jim Walden will also be on the electoral ballot in November.
